Finding Time For Jesus

One of the greatest gifts of gathering together — whether over coffee, in prayer, or on Sunday mornings — is the opportunity to truly connect. Not only with one another, but with God.

As we continue sharing these moments together, my hope is threefold. First, that we continue getting to know each other better as a church family. Second, that we intentionally spend time with God through prayer. And third, that we begin developing the spiritual rhythms and awareness that remind us just how much we need Jesus in every season of life.

Spending time with Jesus is not meant to be complicated. It can look like opening your Bible at the kitchen table, highlighting verses that speak to your heart, journaling prayers in the margins, or simply sitting quietly with Scripture and allowing God to speak to you. And yes — it’s okay to write in your Bible, friends! Make it personal. Make it meaningful. Make it a sacred part of your day.

My prayer is that Sunday mornings continue to encourage you to dive deeper into God’s Word throughout the week. Maybe you hear about a person in Scripture during a sermon and feel inspired to learn more about their story — their struggles, their faith, and the ways God worked through them. That curiosity and hunger to know more is a beautiful part of spiritual growth.

God cares about our whole being — spiritually, physically, and emotionally. As the days grow brighter and warmer, I hope we all find opportunities to care for ourselves in each of those areas. Whether it’s taking a walk outside, reconnecting with Scripture, spending time in prayer, or simply slowing down long enough to breathe and reflect, these moments all contribute to the wholeness God desires for us.

We are spiritual beings created by a loving God, and Jesus is always with us through every step, every struggle, and every new beginning.

So let’s keep showing up. Let’s keep trying. Let’s keep making space for Jesus in our everyday lives.

I can’t wait to see you this Sunday.

God bless, and have a wonderful day.
