Salem Methodist Church is “Large Enough to Serve. Small Enough to Care.” Established in 1834, Salem is known as the "The Friendly Country Church" and meets Sunday mornings at 9:15AM. We invite you to visit us and meet our welcoming and caring congregation! We're very proud of our heritage and devotion to traditional values and worship. OUR BELIEFS

Just as creeds such as the Apostles' Creed summarize the belief of all Christians, the Articles of Religion of the Methodist Church and the Confessions of Faith of The Evangelical Brethren Church form a foundation of doctrine for Methodists. They, along with Wesley's Sermons on Several Occasions and Explanatory Notes Upon the New Testament, are "standards" of doctrine for Methodists.

At Salem Methodist Church, we believe there is one God, creator of heaven and earth, who eternally exists in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe the Bible, both the Old and New Testaments, to be the only inspired, trustworthy, and true, without error, Word of God.

We believe that we are to love God with all our heart, soul, and mind and that we are to love our neighbors as ourselves. We believe that God loved us so much that he sent His Son so that we might have everlasting life.

We believe that salvation is offered to us by God through the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We believe salvation cannot be obtained through works, but is a gift of God's grace freely given to those who confess their sins and put their faith in Jesus Christ.
