What Kind of Driver Are You?

Sometimes, the simplest moments invite the deepest reflection. Sitting in a car, watching traffic move in every direction, you begin to notice patterns—how people navigate the road says a lot about who they are.

Some drivers move with patience and awareness. They leave room for others, pay attention, and travel with intention. Others weave in and out, taking risks, pushing forward without much thought for what’s around them. And then there are those who rush—always trying to get somewhere faster, even if it doesn’t really change where they end up.

It raises a deeper question: how do we move through our lives of faith?

Do we move with intention, grounded in prayer and aware of where God is leading? Or do we rush ahead, trying to control the pace and direction ourselves? At times, it’s easy to drift—reacting instead of listening, moving without truly knowing where we’re going.

Life can feel chaotic, like a crowded road full of noise and distraction. In that kind of world, it takes effort to stay centered.

That’s why the reminder in Epistle to the Ephesians is so meaningful—to put on the full armor of God. The helmet of salvation, the breastplate of righteousness, the belt of truth, and the readiness to move with purpose. These aren’t just images; they’re a way of grounding ourselves so we can navigate life with clarity and faith.

When we are rooted in Christ, we don’t have to rush or force our way forward. We can move with trust. We can choose patience. We can live with a steady sense of purpose, even when everything around us feels uncertain.

So wherever you find yourself today—in motion or in stillness—consider how you’re moving through life.

And ask yourself: am I leading… or am I being led?
