From Palms to the Cross
by Pastor Krista Price
Week of March 30, 2026
As we approach Holy Week, it’s a time to slow down, reflect, and walk alongside Jesus in the events that led to His ultimate sacrifice and resurrection.
Palm Sunday begins with celebration—Jesus enters Jerusalem riding on a colt, welcomed with cheers, palms, and excitement. Yet even amid the joy, we glimpse the tension building, the anger and hostility that will unfold throughout the week.
By Maundy Thursday, the story turns somber. Judas’s betrayal, marked by a simple kiss, sets in motion the events leading Jesus to the cross. Good Friday brings the weight of the grave, a stark reminder of the sacrifice Jesus made for each of us. And then, as we know, the story doesn’t end there—Easter Sunday bursts forth with hope, life, and the victory of Christ over death.
It can be tempting to rush past the hard parts and jump straight to the celebration of Easter. But Holy Week invites us to slow down, to experience the full journey—from the palm branches to the cross, from sorrow to resurrection.
Join us this week: come to Maundy Thursday to prepare your heart, reflect on Good Friday, and celebrate the risen Lord on Easter Sunday. The grace we receive through Jesus Christ is a blessing beyond measure, and walking through these days together allows us to fully appreciate the depth of that gift.
God bless you as you journey through this Holy Week.
